Welcome To On The Avenue Home Decor & Gifts. Years ago my husband and I bought our first home. It was a very old home and needed a lot of tender love and care. I had the vision of what I wanted and my husband was able to help me bring it to life. As we began building and creating items for our home, we had another idea..... What if we started our own business and offered our creations to others who share the same love and passion for decorating as we do. Good Morning Everyone!!!
This is truly one of the most important posts I have entered on this blog...... I have to admit, I am quite anxious because I truly want our endeavors today to be a HUGE SUCCESS.  Please continue reading and please help us support someone we love dearly!!!

I want to tell you about someone who is very dear to me and my family.  Because of his great sacrifice, at a very young age, we now enjoy the freedoms that so many others throughout this world do not have. 

My sweet Grandpa Abbott will be 90 years old this year and has lived an incredible life.  He enlisted in the Army Airforce in February of 1943 and served our country with great honor - (He was only 17 years old when he enlisted - Can you imagine?)  He and his three brothers all enlisted at different times and he is now the only one still with us.  My grandpa has been blessed with an opportunity of a life time and we would love to see him take part in this celebration while his health will permit.   His health is not good and the sooner he can go, the better!!

He and my Grandma have the opportunity to visit the World War II Memorial in 
Washington D.C., through an amazing organization called Honor Flight.  Honor Flight was  founded especially for these brave veterans.

With our help the funds can be raised in time for him to go while he is still healthy enough. Our family would be forever grateful to anyone who can find it in their hearts to help.
The brave soldiers who fought in World War II have never been honored in this way and it is time now to show them all how much we value our great country and the freedoms they so patriotically fought for.

 ALL Proceeds of Today's Two Sale Items will go directly to the Honor Flight Program so My Sweet Grandpa (and six other World War II Veternans-his friends) can have this amazing opportunity. Our hope is to raise $5000.00.  This group of men had hoped to visit this memorial at the end of April, however the funds have not been raised!!
