Autumn

Some of you may be thinking "Autumn, already????" But it is my job to create and design the seasons so you can see what we have in advance. Then when you are ready to decorate.... just give us a call and Walah!!!

Everything that is listed below is now in stock. We have been very busy working and would love to share our finished product with you. We will have this product in all three Quilted Bears (Ogden, Midvale & Provo) after Monday, July 26th. We also have this available in our home right now. There is also a new store in Weston, Idaho that will be carrying our product. More information will be listed in the future! This is a grouping I did on my front porch. I already had the red birdhouse, the Schiess sign, the rustic star and the rustic flower pot. I added some fall floral in the flower pot and some burlap on the table as a table cover. It is very inexpensive at Jo-ann's and comes in many different colors. I added some Large log Pumpkins with sunflowers & a Triple Sunflower Bead Box. (on the right)

We have many different sizes of Pumpkins. The Large pumpkins with Sunflowers range from $18.00 - $24.00 depending on the size. We have the small Square Chunky pumpkins (smaller one in the front) that retail from $11.00 - $17.00 depending on the size.

We designed and created a bunch of rustic, fall birdhouses. They come in Antique Gold (shown above) Barn Red & Sweet Annie Green. Other colors are available upon request. Some of them have rustic flower decor and others have Sunflowers.

Our Birdhouses range from $21.00 - $28.00 depending on the size and design. The green one shown above is one of the larger sizes. It is $28.00 retail.

This is our Triple Sunflower Bead Box. Retail is $27.00. This can be set or hung the way I have it displayed or hang it horizontal. I designed this item years ago and it is one of my favorite fall items. I had to make them again this year.

This is the rustic door that is sitting on my front porch I had the wreath already hanging on it. I added a fall pic (with a small pumpkin and greenery) and a sunflower for the season. VERY SIMPLE and adds so much.

We have MANY more items we are making for the Fall Season. As we complete them, we will post new pictures and ordering information. Have a GREAT day!

Pioneer Trek

I will post the drawing item tomorrow because I wanted to share a family picture today.

We had an incredible experience this past week end. Our ward went on a Ward Handcart Trek. It was one of the hardest things I have done and was absolutely amazing. The spirit truly touched my heart as we walked with handcarts over many miles of mountain trails. I wish I could put into words what I felt and saw, but I think it is impossible. It was truly one of the greatest experiences in my life!! As I watched my husband and two sons (along with our other company members) push our handcarts up and down hill after hill I was absolutely amazed. At one point on the trail all of our husbands and sons that were 12 years and older were asked to take another trail. (Mormon Batallion) It left all of us women, young women and children under the age of 12 to push our handcarts up a very long and steep hill without our husbands, sons and fathers. As they were asked to leave, tears ran down my face. My heart ached so much for those sweet sisters who had no idea whether or not they would see their loved ones again. I don't think I have ever been physically tested like I was on this trek. We are SO BLESSED! By the end Chloee was in tears asking if we could go home. She was exhausted. I had to carry her even when I couldn't carry myeslf. (Yes, I am not in the greatest shape) We have so much to be grateful for. I am so grateful for our shower, for my washing machine, for my pantry that was full of food when we got home. For the vehicle we jumped into and drove home in. Chloee and I got into the suburban when the trek ended. She was asleep within five minutes, but before she drifted off she said something so simple and profound

"I Love My Home"!

The 24th of July has always been a holiday for me. I have always looked forward to spending time with our family, fireworks and parades. But this year I am going to reflect on all those who came across the plains to make my life so good and I hope you all can too. The song "Come, Come Ye Saints" has been going through my mind over and over since Friday.

The best part of the whole song is

"All Is Well".

This is one of my favorite things in the whole world!!

I am getting ready to place an order for the

Raven's Mulling Spices

and wanted to put a word out to all of you blog watchers. If any of you would like to place an order, please give me a call at 435-755-8471 or email me at ontheavenuelogan@gmailcom. Many of you have purchased large amounts of this mulling spice over the past several years and we wanted you to know it is still available. For those of you who have not tried it..... it is a wonderful treat. Just add one package of the mulling spice (or 1/2 package depending on how seasoned you would like it) to one gallon of Apple Juice and warm. It is one of Eric's favorite treats. I try to have it warm and ready to drink when he walks in from work. I start making it as soon as the temperatures start to drop and we don't stop until it warms up. I have left it in a sauce pan on my stove top or put it in a tall warming kettle. It smells Divine!! It is a wonderful gift around the Holiday Season -

Last year I called the company to place an order. The lady who answered the phone is the daughter of Raven - who created this wonderful product. It was so fun speaking with her and about her mother. There are also other recipes on the package that can be made with this mulling spice.

Decor Idea....

I spent the day yesterday texturing and painting my bathroom. It went from a sage green color to a Deep Red! It is so fun to wake up the next day (after a long hard day of painting) and see a beautiful new color. But the thing that I love the most is re-decorating after the paint is done. Like I have mentioned several times..... just move things around in your house. I absolutely love Roosters. Eric asked me the other day how I could love roosters so much and hate real chickens so bad. It is actually pretty easy!!! (HAHA) When you are decorating your home, use things you love. Things that remind you of how you want to live or how you want to be. Use items that make you feel

"at home and comfortable".

Super Saturday's

Super Saturday Season

is right around the corner. Most groups of women like to have their Super Saturday's during the months of September, October & November. It is a great idea to show your projects atleast three to four weeks in advance. This allows time for all the ladies to view the projects, sign up for the items they would like and turn in their money. We need two weeks from the time the order is placed to finish your order. We have several Super Saturdays going on at the same time and this allows us ample time to complete your order and have it ready for you. After many years of experience doing Super Saturday's we have learned it is much easier for everyone if we do most of the work. This allows the women in charge to have a more enjoyable time during this fun day. For some fun ideas, please look at our Super Saturday blog

We will be continually be updating with new and fun ideas. Prices are listed which allows you to choose items that fit into your price bracket. Once you have chosen the items you would like to do, we will create samples for you to display. You are welcome to keep these samples until your Super Saturday is over. Children's Furniture

This is another custom piece we made for a great friend of ours and I wanted to share.....

This is a twin bed/playhouse combo.

The space under the matress is all open.... There is a door that opens on the far right. It is hard to see, but there are daling little details added to this play house. The cute window with shutters & a flower box. The cute window trimmed out on the door and the custom vinyl that says "Emery's Playhouse". There is room inside this little play house for her kitchen, babies, and so much more.

This turned out Awesome!!!
