Just An Idea.....

The majority of what we make is from wood, but when decorating I love to use different textures. I sold these wonderful Scarecrows in the store for the last two fall seasons. They are absolutely darling. I love my Fabric Runners (Thanks Linda) that I happen to have many of. Using fall florals adds such detail and a splash of color. I also love Twig Balls. They have been around for many years and I am still using them!! They have that rustic look which I love!

We brought these boxes into the store from another company. I kept a couple sets for myself because I Absolutely Love Them!! Pillows and ribbons are a must! I love the fall dishes. I always put out fall and Halloween dishes with a little treat in them. Although we don't need the calories, it sure makes the season fun!

We didn't make this Block Set (although we have many that are similar). I love the stacking technique. Cute Jack-O-Lanterns are in front with some darling black Cats.

I Love The Stacking Boxes - This set says Trick Or Treat. I have a set for Autumn as well. My daughter loves to play with these - stacking and re-stacking! I love grouping my displays with many items. Some like it more simple, but for me.......I love having many things to look at.

Our Prayers Are With You!!

Yesterday was a normal Sunday for us. Church meetings, time with the family a little relaxing after a good dinner and then we turned on the news....

There was breaking news of a Large fire in Herriman, Utah. It really caught our attention because my husband and son were in Herriman on Saturday for a soccer game. I turned on the news at 10:00 to catch up on what was happening. I found myself glued to the TV until 11:00 when the news coverage went off the air. I began thinking of all the people (over 1200 homes) that had to be evacuated and my heart ached. This morning as soon as I woke, I turned on the TV to see and hear the status on this fire. Although four homes were a loss, many had been saved. One man said it was a Miracle. They truly thought many more homes would be lost. Many wonderful fire fighters, police officers and military personal worked through the night to protect the people and homes of that community.

The one thing that stood out in my mind was the man that said "It was a Miracle." I believe Miracles happen today on this earth. I am sure that our Heavenly Father's hand was there to protect those people and their homes. I am sure he will be there to lift those who lost theirs.

To the people of the community of Herriman - our prayers are with you. Continue to look for miracles, for I believe they will continue to happen.

These SPOOKY Blocks

I Love block sets. They are easy to work into any arrangement. We used to have a set on our front porch with our last name on it. There were many times I would come home from an errand the the blocks would be arranged, spelling something else that just didn't make sense.

Those silly kids of mine! Good thing they learned how to spell!

Halloween Ideas

This is a very simple and fun

Halloween Display.

We took our everyday black candle sticks and placed orange candles on the top. We tied a bow from Black and White ribbon around the candle holder and placed Halloween Berries around the bottom. This is something so simple and is another good idea of how to decorate using items you already have in your home. Very Simple and So Very Cute!!

Fall Decorating Ideas

When I decorate in my home, I like to use items that I already have and incorporate the holiday decor in with them. This is just one idea. I already have the Family sign, so for the Fall Season I added some beautiful fall florals and pumpkins. This time of year really makes me think about the things I am grateful for and Family is at the top of my list.
